Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program Admission Criteria
The Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program serves patients who are 12 through 17 years of age. Treatment is deemed appropriate when any of the following criteria are met:
- The patient is deemed to be dangerous to self, others or to property.
- Reality testing is impaired and/or behavior is severely disordered.
- Alternatives to inpatient care have been unsuccessful or are not appropriate.
- Treatment involving pharmacological management and stabilization requires 24-hour skilled observation.
- The patient must reasonably be able to benefit from treatment by having a full scale IQ greater than 70.
